Living in Sandy, Utah – What’s it Like?

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Hey! Let’s look at the city of Sandy in the Salt Lake valley! We start in a nice neighborhood in the central/south area of the city, which is much like many of the neighborhoods in Sandy – quiet suburbia, close to parks, not far from shopping and other amenities.

Sandy is geographically a much larger city than most of the cities in the valley, and it covers a wide demographic – from multi-million dollar homes on the east bench, to older starter homes, condominiums and town-homes closer to State Street in the center of the valley on the west edge of Sandy.

Being central to the valley, Sandy is fairly built out, so there’s not a lot of new builds in this city, and what new builds there are tend to build up – condos and townhomes. A lot of people want to be here and we’re trying to accommodate that.

Sandy has all of the amenities – movie theaters, shopping centers, sports arenas, indoor and outdoor playgrounds, so many great restaurants, things to do, places to play, and perhaps a surprising amount of corporate buildings closer to the center – this isn’t what people call a bedroom city

There are a lot of schools in Sandy – two school districts cover it (Jordan District and Canyons District) with a little over 30 schools between them, most of them elementary schools, as is typical. I spent the time to look up over half of these schools, and I can tell you they are overwhelmingly high quality schools. I finish off this video in front of Jordan High School – I have some cousins who went to school here. As always, I looked up school performance ratings on the following two sites:

Friends, if you want to know about a city that you don’t see a video here for yet, let me know and I’ll make that the next video I make – but you won’t have to wait for the video, I’ll respond to you directly with the information you’re most wanting 🙂

And of course, if you’re interested in moving to Utah, or already here and looking for a place to live in either Salt Lake, Davis, or Utah county, hit me in the comments – or just call/text me! – and let’s have a conversation. I want you to hit me with all your questions, especially the hard ones, and I want you to know what to expect, what is happening next, and to experience the smoothest transaction possible to get you into your new home – or to sell the one you’re already in.

In fact, I have a growing number of agents outside of Utah that I can refer to you if you are moving here and needing to find the best agent in your area to help you sell your home before coming to Utah. Reach out to me to let me help you!

I’ll be happy to hear from you,

Christopher
